Dr. William Lodge II is an Assistant Professor of Health Equity and Public Policy at Cornell University’s Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy. He is also a Visiting Faculty Fellow at Yale University’s Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS.

 

Dr. Lodge’s research has been supported by a diverse portfolio of funding sources, including the NIH National Institute on Drug Abuse and institutional awards such as the Cornell Center for Health Equity at Cornell University and the Saxena Center for Contemporary South Asia at Brown University. His studies have been published in prestigious journals, including the American Journal of Public Health, the International Journal of Transgender Health, and the International Journal of Drug Policy.

At Cornell, Dr. Lodge teaches courses in global health, LGBTQ+ health policy, and structural determinants of health, and he frequently guest lectures on topics related to syndemics and intersectionality. Dr. Lodge has contributed to global health research at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, including studies on surgical quality in Tanzania, polio vaccine acceptance in Somalia and Afghanistan, and the cost-effectiveness of immunization programs in India. He is dedicated to conducting community-engaged, policy-relevant research that promotes structural health equity across diverse global contexts.
